What are some of your memories growing up in Mt. Gilead? Post them here. I'll start. One of my memories is hanging out at the Rec Center, before we got our driver's licenses,on summer evenings, socializing and playing volleyball or basketball. Good memories.

How about this memory. Every summer there would be a huge sidewalk sale in town. You could spend all day going up and down the sidewalks looking at the bargains and just hanging out with friends. - Betsy:D

Ah, yes. When sidewalk sales were actually held on the sidewalk. I remember large crowds showing up, making it seem like a street fair.

I always remember the fun at the Morrow Co far. Larry Burnell would be there to greet us. You had to eat everything and see everyone.
It was the place to be!!! Lu Ann Jones

Welcome, LuAnn, to the "Walk Down Memory Lane." You had me worried about the "far." Down here that means flames(far=fire). Just kidding. I think Mrs. Burns would be understanding of computer keyboards, the Internet, and the mistakes that can happen. Yeah, good memories of the Morrow County Fair. The timing of the fair was tough for the football team. We were always in the middle of two-a-day practices and had to figure out how to get to the fair, have fun, and then make it home in time to get enough sleep to get up for the next morning's practice. Even with all of that, it was still fun.
