Unofficially (which means in my own mind), MGHS73.COM gets more pictures from people than anything else. Someone has a new grandbaby in a family picture, they ran over something disgusting and just happened to have their camera, or perhaps they just want to show off pictures form a recent vacation. Whatever the case, you can now upload as many pictures as you want, whenever you want, and it's probably the simplest thing to do on the site next to logging in. So strap on your seatbelt as we swerve lane to lane down the road called "Adding Your Own Picture To The Site". In the past, folks would send in a picture and we'd bury it on the bio page which would require some investigative work and no less than 10 mouse clicks for visitors to see the goods. Admittedly, it wasn't my best piece of work, but it was free help so quit yer whining. When you're done with this short tutorial, you'll be posting pictures like a pro and the home page will automatically place the title of your post in bright lights with a direct link to your picture. Sound good? It's real simple. 1. Login to the site and click the "Message Board" link in the menu on the far left of any page. 2. Once here, look for the forum section called "Classmate Announcements" and click on it. 3. On the next page, you're going to click the link somewhere in the middle of the page called "Add A New Topic". 4. Now come up with a nice subject for your picture and put in the box next to "Subject". 5. Next up is the "Body" section which is where you can go into as much detail as you like about the picture we're going to upload in the next step. 6. This is where the magic happens. The next section is "Message Attachments" and you'll see that you can leave up to three pictures per post. Simply click the button labeled "Browse..." and find the picture on your harddrive. Click it once and then click "OK". That's it! Here's a picture of the button we're talking about. So let's see the pictures! Chad |
